Workshops

The workshops include more in depth illustrations of the principles of scientific reading along with written and spoken participatory exercises from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The duration of a workshop will depend on how many participants attend, but should be at minimum about two hours.

The basic structure of the workshop will cover these topics:

• Spoken examples – the natural conversational style of our Pastor
• Finding our natural voice – exercises
• The original language of Spirit
• Our scientific language
• The language of Spirit and the new tongue
• Relevance to today’s world thought
• Word pronunciation and scientific meaning
• Cadences and word pronunciation
• Keywords – exercises written and spoken
• Rhythm and pacing
• Connector words (i.e. pronouns) – exercises
• Inclusive/Exclusive words – exercises
• Some practical things – breathing, entering into words
• Do we really need all that extra information? – exercises
• Putting it all together – a change in our thought
• Readings by participants who volunteer
• Any other topics of interest to the participants

It is hoped that each individual will obtain and read the book “scī ∙ ĕn ∙ˈtĭf ∙ ĭc READING" before attending. Please contact us if you need assistance.
